the ups and downs
Thursday, August 12, 2010 After I had written about some of the twists and turns in my life resulting in more and more teaching opportunities, I got a very lovely email from the Magazine of Yoga.
I almost peed my pants. The Magazine invited me to write for them about my journey in building a yoga "business".
This is all so very exciting for me! I have really come to enjoy writing and it is really nice to know that someone actually likes to read it. All of your comments, emails, and support is so special to me. And, all of that encouragement has led me to new places to grow as a writer.
Today is my first post at The Magazine of Yoga. Let me know what you think!

Wow! What an exciting opportunity. But I read the article and how sad the turn things have taken : ( I'm sure it will work out for you though!
Have you ever read "The Unbearable Lightness of Being" by Milan Kundera? It's a different kind of lightness that you're discussing but your post still made me think of it.
Hurray for you! Isn't it great when having a blog does crazy things like that. Great article too....
Ow, sorry to read how things turned out but soooo exciting for this new opportunity!
Giveth, taketh away, I guess. Sorry about loosing the space, but how cool that you get to add your voice to M of Y. I find being aware of an audience, and knowing the audience is getting bigger, can be very inspiring to one's writing practice. I'm always thinking of new posts or wondering how a thought could be fleshed out into something interesting to read. My awareness of everything seems to have expanded.
I'm glad the babblings are growing!
@jamie--thanks! i'm very excited to be writing for them. and, i have read "the unbearable lightness of being", and i thought about it while writing the post. i read it a long time ago and remember this very dark undertone to living and being...not what i am experiencing at all!
@rachel--thanks! ah, i'm dying to find out what you're up to...all these hints of wonderfulness... ;)
@emmanuelle--thank you! and what a lovely review of your blog last week!
@brenda--i totally agree. i'm constantly writing blog posts in my head. not sure if that is good or bad, but i'm enjoying it!
